TIL July 17th is "Wrong Way Corrigan Day", the day a stunt-pilot flew an old plane he bought off a "trash heap, rebuilt it, and modified it for long-distance flight," deemed "too unstable for safe flight" across the Atlantic to Ireland when he was suppose to fly from New York to California.
